Fecal Calprotectin
The Fecal Calprotectin test also known as Stool Calprotectin test helps to analyse inflammation in your intestine. This test differentiate between inflammatory bowel disease and non inflammatory conditions which occurs in the intestines. White blood cells called neutrophils accumulates at the site of swelling releasing protein (calprotectin) which appears in the stool. Calprotectin level gets increased in case of inflammation in the intestine.
